Our Hunting Area
in central Namibia consists of Savannah, thorn bush and mountainous country. More
than 40 species of mammals can be found in the Mount Etjo region, ranging
from the massive black and white Rhino, Elephant, Hippo, and the graceful Giraffe to the
diminutive Damaraland Dik-Dik. Numerous antelope, as well as cheetah, Leopard and a
pride of Lions occur in our Private area of approximately 40,000 acres, as well as on
adjacent concessions consisting of approximately 300,000 acres. For more
information about all of these animals, visit our
Wildlife Atlas.
Near by at the Dinosaur Tracks National Monument, you
can see the footprints a three-toed dinosaur embedded in sandstone some 150 million years
ago. Surrounding the immediate hunting area, there are many other historic sites and
delightful country towns abundant with missions, museums, and other sites of
interest. Enjoy bird watching, horseback riding, hiking, and wildlife observation
too. Namibia is truly a special place.
